De Gea underwent medical tests at MU

Manchester - Manchester United's desire to recruit David De Gea an inch longer be true. Young Spanish goalkeeper had been undergoing medical tests with the Red Devils.

Reported Soccernet, De Gea perform medical tests on Monday (27/06/2011) afternoon local time. 20 year-old goalkeeper is expected to soon sign a contract with the Premier League champions.

'Red Devils' already since a few months ago expressed interest in the goalkeeper who last season was still in uniform Atletico Madrid following the retirement of Edwin van der Sar. But De Gea then insisted that his future would be decided after defending Spain at Euro U-21.

After dropping La Furia Roja won, De Gea fulfill his promise to reveal where he will be anchored next season. And MU was lucky because it would soon get a goalkeeper born in Madrid.

If the road to an agreement with De Gea no obstacles, then he will be the third purchase of the 'Red Devils' this summer. Earlier Sir Alex Ferguson has been very active in the transfer market by bringing in defender Phil Jones from Blackburn Rovers and Ashley Young of Aston Villa.
