Beware Dalglish Liverpool Ferguson
Posted on | Tuesday, July 19, 2011 | No Comments
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed the deadly rivals Liverpool are now "back on the radar."It is now 21 years since the Reds won their last league title.
Like their enemies by the way of the East Lancs close a record 19th crown of Liverpool were finishing sixth, 22 points behind, with not even a place to promote Europe League.
However, under Kenny Dalglish, Ferguson feels a giant waking from sleep. And the director of Manchester United is willing to admit this is a club to be careful again.
"Liverpool have gone off the radar a bit. Now they're back on that," he told Press Association Sport.
"In the long run, you know they will."
It 'the same Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, the name of the competitor - Ferguson made a complaint before the Derby Liverpool was true for his team - now also the performance.
"Let's be honest, I hate to lose any of them," he said.
"One of these four is always a thorn flesh. They are the immediate challengers. History does not change.
"No matter where it comes from, at some point we will face a challenge from one of the big four clubs."
United's recent history is not particularly comfortable.
In the summer, which could be used to bask in the glory of Liverpool is knocked off their perch is a reflection on the other hand, with the Champions League final, and experience the punishment of the mesmeric feet of Barcelona.
So was the victory of the Catalans clinically, it was almost forgotten U.S. went into the game having won four Premier League titles in five, appearing in their third European Cup final in four attempts.
It should be one of the most important periods of the club. Instead Red Devils are written off as inferior.
Not Ferguson. Not a man who is always plotting and scheming to give his side the best possible advantage. Not a man who simply refuses to give up the fight.
"Barcelona is the team of the moment," reflected Ferguson.
"It's a cycle. This is the same players. You can dominate any game and probably would for any other team.
"But that's not the kind of thing makes you think," we will not bother with European football again, we're never going to beat Barcelona. "
"Manchester United is more than that. We have a better philosophy than that.
"The challenge is that we can improve enough to reach the final next season and win -."
