Rooney's intention to make history
Posted on | Sunday, July 17, 2011 | No Comments
Wayne Rooney is the intention "to create more history" of Manchester United.Depending on the point of view you take, this summer was the time for sober reflection after correcting Trafford in the Champions League final defeat to Barcelona or a party record nineteenth championship triumph.
However, according to Rooney, these considerations must be rejected.
Already play in a game of five pre-season tour to America and by their speed in a series of rigorous training in training base of the Seattle Seahawks, the Red Devils look forward to again.
And despite the satisfaction of a collection of medals, which extends to four league titles, one Champions League and a number of other trophies, is that Rooney feels exactly how it should be.
"We must look forward and not backward," he told ESPN.
"This is something the club racing you.
"Know your trophies to win is incredible. But we have to win trophies.
"We must try to create more history for the club."
Rooney not to worry, you get. In fact, the England striker is adamant to continue the glory of the basic diet, as long as Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson is in charge.
Ferguson celebrates its 25 th anniversary as head of U.S. by the end of the year. Rooney can be detected without compromising his desire, as the years go by.
"While he's here, we always hunt to win trophies," he said, insisting that the defeat Barca 3-1 at Wembley in May should not trigger the inferiority complex.
"Obviously, they were much better than us in the day," said Rooney.
"But in the last four years we have been in three finals.
"We're not that far. If we just give an extra five percent and try to improve a lot, so I think we're going forward."
Fellow striker Michael Owen certainly think so, the firing of a sudden the idea that his racing empire thriving - which earned him a Royal Ascot win in the summer - could hinder his own quest for glory.
"The [horse racing] will never be my career," said Owen, who signed a new one-year contract this summer. "It's just a great passion for me.
"It 's always there in the background, but football is my main passion, and everyone knows it.
"I like to think that if I stop playing for years three, four or five, whatever it is I'll always be involved in football and still is my profession.
"It 's my passion and what I know."
At the same time, it has been suggested by the battle of current Fitness Darren Fletcher is worse than initially proposed.
The Scotland midfielder has not been named in the party became the United States, with officials claiming the Fletcher club need to work more conditioned to recover from a virus that destroys their ability to play an important role in the U.S. filming.
However, he now claims was Fletcher was told to stay away from the Earth United Carrington training for fear of the virus that caused the weight loss has struck again.
