Manchester City new boy Sergio Aguero continues to believe in front of the silverware as he and his new club, "grow together".The Argentine striker has signed on Thursday from Atletico Madrid for an estimated £ 35 million, and was presented to the press in Dublin Cup pre-season tournament.
The 23-year-old games will not count against a city or Airtricity XI Inter Milan, with its debut at the place fixed for the Community Shield against Manchester United at Wembley on August 6.
He set his sights high, insisting that the opportunity to add to the city last season's FA Cup success was the driving force behind the movement.
"I was very interested in playing here because it is a growing club and hopefully we can grow together," he said.
"I think we have a lot of players and a good team. I'm playing one of the best teams in England at this time and there are many things that can be achieved. We can win many titles, and I hope it will be a year for us."
It seems almost certain that Aguero, of Argentina legend Diego Maradona's son, was signed to replace his compatriot Carlos Tevez, who was not discussed at all during the club pre-election campaign in the middle of speculation about his future continues.
Aguero was evasive about the prospect of either join or replace Tevez and said: "We are good friends and play together on the national team, but it's up to him, I will focus on the play here.
"If you're here, so it's great. If not, then I'll adapt without him. Who is he that is not does not matter, what matters is that I can be a team member. It is easy to work these days."
A movement of the Brazilian side Corinthians, who had met Tevez has the desire to be closer to his family back in his homeland, and fell into the Internet has emerged as the latest contenders to win because singer.
But coach Gian Piero Gasparini, speaking in Dublin, refused to take on the issue and told Sky Sports: "We are here to talk football with Manchester City on Sunday.
"There is no reason to discuss what is happening in the market. We are all aware of what is happening at the moment and media interest, but we are here to discuss what is going on field in the coming games Coming.
"Obviously, a great player, there's always a lot of interest, and that's normal. Various clubs and big clubs are always talking about great players. Now the transfer window is open it does not matter if a player actually plays, they always talked about.
"Until August 31, what is important is the real thing and the reality is that Carlos Tevez is a Manchester City player."
