Liverpool to worry about tired Suarez

Liverpool fear Luis Suarez may not be available for the start of the season due to commitments in the Copa America.


The 24-year-old played a central role in launching the Uruguay Copa America semi-final, but the unexpected success of his country could now delay his return to Liverpool for the pre-season training.

It should go all the way to Uruguay in the Copa America, would Suzarez only a three week break before the new Premier League campaign next month.

Liverpool coach Steve Clarke has insisted the club are prepared for any late arrival to the faith of the size of their is enough staff to cope.

"Now football is enough to accept the fact that different countries and continents from their tournaments and their time," he said.

"It is for children to go out there and do their best in their country.

"When they return, we will assess their fitness wise, physically and mentally, then decide how we take our training program.

"If they are ready to start the season is good. But if you need a little time to recover, so you have a great team. It will give people an opportunity to others."
