Dalglish: I can not wait for the Asian tour

Kenny Dalglish has spoken of his excitement about Liverpool coming Asian tour in China and Malaysia.

The Reds kick-off their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Guangzhou Guangdong Sunray Cave July 13 (Wednesday) and will head to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, before playing round their tour with a session training in Singapore.

Dalglish and can not wait for his team to land in the Far East.

"I've never been to China, but I think it is a fantastic opportunity for the club to go to the Far East, China and Malaysia," said the official club site for tourism.

"Two years ago, we went to Singapore and Bangkok, and the support we have received is incredible. When you consider the size of the population there, until you arrive, you do not really understand the extent of, and how much the club means to people.

"I think it's like everything else - it is far from the one you respect, or love, the more you try to grab something, which is connected to it.

"This is a new destination for most of us, but it's something we look forward to and we appreciate the support we receive from them is difficult for them to get too close to the club - . But this is a fantastic opportunity for them to approach us to go there. "

The Reds last visit to Asia in the summer of 2009, which played in Thailand and Singapore.

Dalglish, who was then ambassador to the club, has memories of their time.

"I think, you know how popular and important the club has so many people, but when you go to Asia, the number of people is phenomenal," he said.

"The support we had two years ago, Asia was amazing with numbers and their loyalty, and I'm sure it will be the same this time.

"Two games two years ago, they were both in front of a crowd of 50 000 and we had a couple of training sessions open, where we have again, and thousands turned to look at us from the railway station to the stadium.

"We did a boat tour around Singapore and there were thousands there to see us, we appreciate their support and loyalty -. And we hope they enjoy there.

"Although there will be some (players) were absent, they liked to see, we can not avoid the damage."

But Andy Carroll, Daniel Agger and Martin Kelly - each of them ended up injured last season - is scheduled to appear in friendly matches.

"The three of them are perfectly fine," said Dalglish. "They played a lot in training and is fully recovered from injury.

"The training was very week and everyone is looking forward to the trip."
