Chelsea close in on Courtois

Chelsea is close to finalizing a deal for Genk Thibaut Courtois teenage goalkeeper.

The 19 is very popular and helped Genk to win the Belgian league last season.

Chelsea have followed him for many months and despite the interest shown in Atletico Madrid, seems to be very successful.

Thierry Courtois father and agent confirmed that an agreement was near, and he expected to go through on Tuesday.

"He [Thibault] was at Chelsea last week," Het Belang van revealed Limberg.

"I think Chelsea and Genk have signed an agreement. On Tuesday, we'll come and talk about the transfer."

Chelsea happy to leave reported back Courtois Genk on loan, and his father has admitted this was an option, but no, he says bitterly that he could sign a new contract with the Belgian club.

"Maybe Chelsea will take Thibaut Genk, but a contract extension does not interest us more," he added.

Chelsea is still understood to be keen to make a shot only twice in Genk, as spoken by over midfielder Kevin De Bruyne to continue.

The Blues had hoped to send De Bruyne loaned to Belgium, but its rivals Anderlecht Genk, which would have contributed to their pursuit Romelu Lukaku.

However, Genk have insisted it will not allow De Bruyne be provided to a Belgian club others must be sold.

As for Lukaku, he admits that he is more than happy to stay at Anderlecht, his time at Chelsea still lacking.
