Alves: Barcelona better than Arsenal

Barcelona Dani Alves wing-back believes Arsenal should stop Cesc Fabregas to step up to the "business" of reunification of the Catalan club.

Alves has compared his situation with respect to the 24-year-old Spain international, recalling how he wanted to leave Sevilla to join Barca three years ago.

"I understand he does not want to leave Arsenal on bad terms, but I can understand why it would force the engine to come to Barca," he said in an interview with Spanish radio station RAC-1.

"The players always end up playing, where they will play, and a club must not keep an unhappy player."

Alves has developed its own exit, and Sevilla Fabregas requirements should do the same.

"I forced my way out of Seville, which saw the train go by and I wanted to be in business class," he said.

Barca, meanwhile, insist that they are in no hurry to sign the midfielder Catalan.

"We have all summer to sign players," said the vice president of Barcelona Josep Bartomeu.

"Until the last minute, things can be blocked or extended, so we have time.

"All offers are being prepared by the Technical Secretary requires patience - we work without haste but without delay."

Bartomeu and said improvements are needed in spite of the success of last season when Barca won a third successive Premier League title and claimed the Champions League for the second time in three seasons.

"We have a great team with great players and great coaches - the best in Europe," he said.

"However, the team will have to tweak."
