When No Longer at Barca, Messi Want to Return to Argentina

Buenos Aires - Lionel Messi affirmed his loyalty to Barcelona. If later he left Barca, Messi admitted only going back to Argentina and then hanging up his boots.

So far Messi has repeatedly pledged loyalty to Barca. However, the 24-year-old player was still associated with a number of clubs like Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

Messi was once again affirmed his loyalty to the Catalan club. He claimed to want to spend the peak of his career with Barcelona before closing his career in Argentina.

"If I leave Barcelona, I'll go back to Argentina and retire there," said Messi told El Pais reported by ESPN Soccernet.

Along with the assertion that, Messi also dismissed the possibility to defend the club other than Barca, let alone Madrid rivals Barca.

"No, I do not think so, or I'll go to another club," he said when asked about the chance to move to Madrid.

"Today I am happy at Barcelona. Things went well and I want to keep playing there until I finally returned to Argentina," said Messi.
