London - Chelsea's new manager, Andre Villas-Boas, spoke about his club's transfer policy. He also commented about Arsenal's transfer policy, the infamous "stingy" shopping.
Chelsea and Arsenal do exist at the poles are different when they entered the period of sale of players. The Blues, especially after the era of Roman Abramovich, famous not hesitate to pour tens of millions of pounds to bring players incarannya. Abramovich might even recruit a star do not ask for the manager though.
While Arsenal inversely with Chelsea. The Gunners players rely more on "green" their target. Their boss, Arsene Wenger, is known to be very frugal when shopping players. He prefers to pick up young players with potential rather than ready-made star players.
Under the leadership of Villas-Boas, Chelsea might be wasteful tradition will continue. However, Villas-Boas respect Wenger's philosophy that many rely on young players.
"We can move in the market and Arsenal could move the other way. They were able to find young talents are amazing. It's like two different cultures," Villas-Boas said on Sky Sports.
"It became a culture that Chelsea and Arsenal move in the market moves in any other way. We just have to respect how people conduct business," added the man from the Portuguese.
"For us, in the end is important in the Premier League top spot when the competition is completed. Whether we do it in some way or else it's not important," he said.
"I respect what he (Wenger-ed) to do and if he does not respect what we do, then there's nothing wrong with it. It was just his opinion. These are two different ways of treating the market," said the former Porto coach this .
Villas-Boas admits that they are quite satisfied with the condition of his club's squad now. He also has not determined which players he will take to Stamford Bridge.
"I do not agree that the team is arguably deteriorated. Most of the players have won many things in his career and they are still hungry," says Villas-Boas.
"I am more than happy with the actual condition of the squad. It's not a new thing when a manager came and radical changes are expected. But, given the success of the squad in the last six years, we have to think carefully and make wise decisions We have plenty of time to assess market, "he added.
