Sahin vows to break into Real first-team

Real Madrid newboy Nuri Sahin believes he has what it takes to establish himself among the leading lights at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Sahin is coming off an excellent season in the German Bundesliga, guiding Borussia Dortmund to their first title since 2002 with his playmaking abilities.
His performances convinced Real coach Jose Mourinho to fork out €10million for the Turkish youngster, but many have cast doubt over his ability to break into the first team.

Some have pointed to the example of Sergio Canales, who shone so brightly for Racing Santander last season, as a perfect example of how young talents often get wasted at the Bernabeu.
However, Sahin remains unfazed and feels he is good enough to succeed at Los Blancos.
"I know the competition is great and much greater in a team like Madrid, but I'm sure I'll achieve it [a starting berth," Sahin told AS.
The 22-year-old admits every footballer dreams of playing for a club of Real's magnitude, but is convinced he earned his move.
"Yes, it is the largest and most important club in the world, all players want at some point in their career to get here, and I am very pleased to have the opportunity.
"I worked very hard for it."
Sahin missed last season's title run-in with Dortmund through injury, although the club managed to overcome that setback to pip Bayer Leverkusen to the title.
However, the playmaker has assured Real fans that he is over his injury, and is looking forward to regaining full fitness.
"I'm fully recovered from injury and in Madrid I'll get into good physical condition.
"I am ready to start working with my colleagues."
Sahin joins a growing number of players at Real imported from the Bundesliga, with Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira joining the club last summer, while Hamit Altintop followed suit a few days after Sahin's move.
