Jakarta - Manchester United defender and England international Rio Ferdinand was in Indonesia on Tuesday (28/06/2011). Here is an exclusive interview with Ferdinand detiksport.
The interview was held at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Wednesday (29/06/2011), evening local time, after being delayed nearly two hours.

Ferdinand appeared relaxed by wearing red shirts bearing the slogan # stayonyourfeet flagship on Twitter and khaki shorts.
detiksport: How do you look at last season's outlook, in which Manchester United won the title number 19 in the Premier League?
Ferdinand: I am very happy to be part of the team that won the 19th title. Being the most successful team in England. It was a great achievement.
Especially after we have won four straight titles last year, but Chelsea followed in the final moments. A great feeling to win the league and I want to continue to feel it.
d: What about next season? Who's next strongest competitor? F: I think like last year, Chelsea. Manchester City also be a contender. I think Arsenal also have a chance. Perhaps Tottenham (Hotspur).
d: What about Liverpool? F: Liverpool have a chance, like last season but we also say the same thing.
d: Years ago Chicarito (Javier Hernandez) became one of the key players in the MU. How next season, who the key figures? F: We'll see. Wayne Rooney this season, he was initially slow but steady improvement in recent seasons. I think next season he will be an important player for us.
It is difficult to designate one player only. Nani, I chose to be the best player for last season. He briilian. Antonio Valencia back (from injury) and played very well.
I think we have a lot of good players. If they fit then we have a chance of success again.
d: Last season Paul Scholes and Gary Neville retired. What does the loss of both for United? F: Experience is the thing this team needed. Paul Scholes, I think he could easily play one more season. He's still a great player, the best.
But this is life and you have to accept it. We are Manchester United and could cope with it and I am sure next season we will find a replacement player.
d: latest news today, David De Gea sign a counter for five years with United. How do you think of him? F: Yes I am happy. He's a good player. I've seen him play several times. He was a good player.
d: What about her lack of experience? F: Yes, he had to learn in one place. Who knew Peter Schmeichel before coming to Man United? We do not ever know. You have to learn at a place and I think he had enough to play for Atletico Madrid at a young age.
Just a few questions, detiksport given a warning by the MSG, the promoter who brought Ferdinand, that time is running out for interviews.

d: How long to keep playing? Is it still wants to play at the 2014 World Cup? F: Of course I want. I mean, when I was still able to play until the age of 40 years, then I'll play.
But you should see the condition of the body. The body will tell you when to stop. I hope (Ferdinand said as he tapped the table) I will fit as long as possible. I love to play football.
d: You and Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen are very active on Twitter. What would Sir Alex (Ferguson) about your activities this? F: Yes, he knew. One time me and Wayne Rooney coming to dinner. Me and Wayne walked together. He (Ferguson) said, "Look, two children Twitter.".
He's okay. I understand the club must remain vigilant in what we do. We've never seen a player tripped over the problem. But if you are sensitive and do it right, you will not be in trouble.
You know I've been an active year and has never troubled ngetwit on Twitter. So, I will continue to do so.
Interviews are held short and the committee did not give much to ask for more tolerance. After taking a photo together, we had to finish the interview.
d: Thanks Rio. Nice to meet you. Good luck always. F: You're welcome. Nice to meet you.
