Alberto Gilardino was born on July 5, 1982 in Biella, Piedmont, Italy. He is an Italian striker.

The player with the nickname "Crazy" is starting his career at Piacenza in the 1999-2000 season. At the club he scored 3 goals in 17 games. Then in 2000 sold to Verona, and only scored 5 goals in 39 games in 2 seasons.

His career began to blaze when he joined Parma in 2002, at the request of coach Cesare Prandelli who trained at Verona. Gilardino scored 5 goals in the season pertamanyam 23 goals in 2003-04 season which makes it the second leading scorer. He continued his best performance, scoring 23 goals in the 2004-05 season and again become the second leading scorer. Over joins Parma he scored 50 goals in just 96 appearances in Serie A.

Gilardino then moved to Milan with the transfer of 24 million euros on July 17, 2005. In his first season he scored 17 goals in domestic league, but failed to score in the Champions League. In the 2006-2007 season, he became the top scorer Milan in Serie A with 12 goals.

On May 28, 2008, Fiorentina bought it with the transfer of 15 million euros and signed a contract for 5 years.
