Zamparini: Italian club Pastore

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed an Italian club are among the candidates to sign Javier Pastore.

The Argentina international is to leave the place in Sicily this summer with several European clubs, including Barcelona and Chelsea in the race to acquire the 22 years of service.

"There are five clubs Pastore lively and one of them is Italian," said Zamparini of Stadionews. "This is not Napoli and Juventus."

Highly rated quarterback, who is currently competing in the America's Cup, he joined Palermo in 2009 for 19million euros Huracan, and was the team's leading scorer last season 11 goals series.

Pastore is valued at 50 euros and is under contract with Palermo until June 2015.

"There is a 99% chance that Pastore go," said Zamparini.

"But I think without him, the team will be able to fight to qualify for the Champions League."

Palermo finished fourth in the series and will play the preliminary stages of Europe's leading club competition.
