Villas-Boas Lampard salutes the role of the new

Chelsea, André Villas-Boas praised Frank Lampard after Barclays Asia Trophy clash with Hong Kong club Kitchee.Lampard converted a penalty in the 4-0 win for Chelsea, which provides a final against Aston Villa, who won 1-0 over Blackburn.
But its role has been largely focused on anchoring Chelsea midfielder is not an entirely new perspective for the UK, but believe Villas-Boas 33 years can do with aplomb.
The new Chelsea boss has no plans to commission Lampard this game, play in the new Premier League season, but he wanted an opportunity to assess and the result was attractive.
"Frank has the ability to be in this position and it is good that he knows so well, that the position and giving us that flexibility," Villas-Boas said.
"I'm glad we were able to prove it in this pre-season at this property.
"Frank is one of the best players in the world and has the opportunity to play in many positions: a position of number eight, a number 10 position or a position of readiness.
"We have seen throughout his career that he has the ability so it is nothing new that we have discussed today and that does not mean that we will use the most.
"We're just happy that the players can play in different positions."
Lampard put Chelsea ahead from the spot nine minutes before the break and an own goal extended the lead Ubay Santana early in the second period.
Didier Drogba's header and an impressive final score finished replacing Daniel Sturridge.
Villas-Boas Drogba chose as the focal point of a three-pronged attack with Salomon Kalou and Florent Malouda each side, supported by Yossi Benayoun in a central role, ahead of Lampard and Yury Zhirkov.
The comfortable win was expected, but the Villas-Boas was still gushing in his praise.
"I do not want to talk to an easy win, because ultimately it is always work and sweat and the players were magnificent, once again, to apply what we have done in training," has he said on chelseafc.com.
"Their ability to absorb new ideas and talent itself is very good, and some of them are far from their natural position. It is good to see the players enjoying their games.
"They kept the platform-intensive, which is a good sign for us, and hopefully, against Premier League opposition, which is played on Saturday there may be a similar performance again."
Wool should not cause a greater total testing of their new Chelsea boss, who is planning a second system against Alex McLeish's side.
"We need these types of structures for the Premier League and it is not impossible that Saturday, we try a different formation with two strikers, perhaps, but it's not because you put another striker attack, you become more attack. It is the dynamics of the team, "said Villas-Boas.
"The talent of the players, it is possible for us to do that and it is also good for them to be called upon to play in different ways."
