"There is still fresh bid for Cesc"

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood insists they have not heard of Barcelona, Cesc Fabregas, after the rejection of their initial offer of midfield.

The future of Arsenal Cesc is back in the headlines this summer in Barcelona, once again made overtures to lure players in Spain.

Arsenal Arsene Wenger wants to keep Fabregas but you want to transfer saga resolved one way or another before the season begins.

Hill-Wood told the Daily Star: "I'm not sure how eager they are still there are stories in the press (in Spanish), but they speak for us ..

"They made an offer, equivalent to about £ 26 million, but that was long ago, but when our situation is very simple. I do not want to lose it.

"Of course, if they come up with an offer that was a very good offer, we should have thought.

"We told them a number of times that this offer was unacceptable, and yet they have not moved on it.

"I do not condone what they do, but unfortunately it seems that the way the world right now."

Hill-Wood admits that he is tired of speculation surrounding Fabregas constant and a possible return to his hometown club.

"It 'became a real hole, and unnecessary disruption of what we're trying to accomplish," added Hill-Wood.

Hill-Wood also stressed that the intention to keep Arsenal Samir Nasri.

Manchester City, Roberto Mancini, the owner has recently confirmed that he hoped to sign Nasri this summer.

Nasri has been linked to the abandonment of the French left Arsenal to agree a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

However, Hill-Wood has decided to retain the talented midfielder at Arsenal, despite the player enters the final year of his contract.

"City seeks to have more money than anyone, and they keep spraying it everywhere," said Hill-Wood.

"But our position is very simple: we do not want the player to leave."
