Rome glanced at Insua Liverpool

Ambitious set of Serie A Roma have inquired about the availability of left-back Emiliano Insua Liverpool, according to the player's agent.

Insua had a great season at Anfield in the 2009/10 season, where he served as the bottom left-back as 20 years, making 31 league matches.

But it was strange to leave the loan to Galatasaray for all of last season, where his progress has stalled, only nineteen games in any competition.

While Insua has since returned to Anfield before the 2011/12 season, speculation is still spread over his future and his agent now claim Vilariño Rodrigo Roma is in the race for his signature.

"We talked to [Rome] team manager [Walter] Sabatini," said Calciomercatoweb.it Vilariño.

"Insua is wanted by Giallorossi, but the situation is currently on stand-by."

Vilariño also admitted he was not sure that Liverpool would be willing to sell, but it is unknown if the manager Kenny Dalglish, who is the first team plans Insua, especially after his successful thoroughbred some young defensive players last term.

"He is back in Liverpool after his loan, but I do not know its price.

"It depends on the reds."

Fiorentina was about to land in the last 22 years before going on loan to Galatasaray, but Vilariño almost certain that his interest has happened since.

"There was something in the past, but today is not the reality."

Insua has made over 60 appearances for Liverpool since its inception in 2006, and has won four caps for Argentina.
