Neymar Santos now wants to stay

Real Madrid goal Neymar Santos has committed at least one season.

Real had reportedly opened negotiations with the champions of the Copa Libertadores Neymar earlier this week, but it now appears that the player has his heart set to live in Brazil.

Neymar is currently out of international service with the Brazilian team in the Copa America.

"I want to stay at Santos. I focused on the national team. I know nothing of what happens in Brazil or outside of here," Neymar said in a press conference.

"I have not spoken to my father or my agent. They hear things, but I do not know. My desire is to play in Club World Cup for Santos. "

Its president, Luis Oliveira Santos had previously disclosed that Madrid are among the five European clubs who contacted during high grade 19.

"We are interested in a pleasant and Neymar offer all that is necessary for him to remain in Brazil, and go to Europe," Oliveira told La Sexta.

"Five club presidents who want to sign it and give a lot of money has contacted me, but when the 2014 World Cup comes, it will be here.

"[President of Real Madrid] Florentino Perez is one of those who have called me, but if he did, it would have been president without a vision of football."

Top European clubs Chelsea and Barcelona are also included to monitor the player.
