Lampard is not happy defensive role

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard leaves the football when it is no longer able to resolve the impact of attacks that characterized his career.

The 33 year-old was a prolific scorer from midfield over the years and would not enjoy taking a more defensive role.

"I've never been a defensive player," he was quoted as saying the website of the sun. "I always like up and down the field and arrive late in the penalty area.

"If I felt that I was not there, I would not hang too long.

"I'll be the first to know when I am no longer able to do this work. Remember, I probably would have sold before!"
