Kameni told to report to training

Rome is losing Carlos Kameni of Cameroon with Espanyol goalkeeper told to report to the pre-season training.

Kameni has granted permission for his club to discuss a possible transfer of the Roma, but the deal has not materialized so far.

A statement by the Espanyol read: "Carlos Kameni is to report to Espanyol in the coming hours after failing to reach a final agreement with AS Roma for the transfer.

"So if in the next few hours there is nothing new, Kameni will undergo a medical examination with Espanyol and join the first team in preseason in Peralada."

Roma have yet to acquire a goalie to replace Brazilian Doni Alexander, who joined Liverpool last week.

The Kameni 27, who is ranked 5 million euros, has been linked with a move to Fulham this summer.
