Juan Mata unfazed by Arsenal link

Juan Manuel Mata Valencia star insists he is totally focused on the future of the Spanish league season, despite the growing speculation move to Arsenal.

Mata took the mantle of leadership in Valencia last summer following the departure of David Villa and David Silva, and has emerged as one of the most talented young people in Europe.

With only 23 years, Mata won the 2010 World Cup with Spain, and recently led the youth to victory in the Under-21 Championship of Europe.

His impressive performances for both club and country have seen a lot of big European clubs swooping around services, with Arsenal is strongly associated with Mata as a replacment may want-away duo Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.

Mata has already held that the Mestalla will be happy, and once again reiterates its commitment to exit in Valencia.

"It is true that the teams have been associated with me, but it's a good sign that I play well," said Mata Lasprovincias.

"Despite all the rumors, I have to stay calm and get away from all this speculation.

"I am very aware of the rumors, but this is not the first summer I had to do with this, so do not take care of me.

"My goal now is to make sure I'm ready for the start of the season and continue to improve as a player.

"I want to win awards."

Mata will have the opportunity to grace the UEFA Champions League this season after Valencia qualified for the first race in Europe by finishing third in the league last season.
