Gifts is not a U-turn over Liverpool move

Roma goalkeeper Doni has changed his mind and agreed to join in a move to Liverpool, despite previous reports.

Italian newspaper Il Messaggero reported that the Brazilian has agreed terms with Premier League club and the move should happen in a few days, both parties should agree on a transfer fee.

Rome has asked for a minimum of € 1.5 and a 31-year-old.

This sudden reversal was unexpected, as Doni's compensation package rejected Liverpool first time after being too low.

Doni arrival will increase speculation about the future of Pepe Reina, who has been linked with a move away from Anfield.

But with plans Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish to build a team to dominate the Barclays Premier League, the wily Scot regard to Doni as a possible replacement for the inexpensive Spanish if he chooses to leave.
