Genk Courtois accept Chelsea bid

Belgian club Genk accepted an offer from Chelsea for Thibaut Courtois teenage goalkeeper.

Genk said in a statement on its website the club, they had no choice but to let go when there seems Courtois for Saturday friendly against Lyon.

Courtois, 19, 6ft 6ins keeper was the first choice for the first division in Genk, Belgium, Jupiler League last season. He also received a first call of the national team of Belgium.

Genk Courtois such offer from Chelsea was "by far the largest offering," I was never a player.

New Chelsea manager Other Villas-Boas said the situation after Saturday's 1-0 victory for Chelsea in Portsmouth friendly.

"There is an agreement between the two clubs," says Villas-Boas.

"It is also subject to personal appointments, and from there we will decide what is best for him."

He was asked if he could challenge for a place Courtois in the first team this season, Villas-Boas said: "We will wait to accept the terms.

"It seems unreasonable for me to comment on it, but when he is a Chelsea player, we'll see what kind of future he has."

Courtois, 19, was 6ft 6ins keeper, who was the first choice of Genk in Belgium, won the Senior Division Jupiler League last season. He also received the first call for Senior Squad Belgium.
