Fit-again desperate to play Agger

Eager to put all his troubles behind him injury, Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is hoping for a productive season for both club and personal level.

Danish international's career at Anfield is struggling to take off, as a series of niggling injuries meant more time was spent away rather than on the ground.

After overcoming his physical misery and with a very similar haircut crew refreshing, spoke of 26 years ESPNSTAR. Com 's Daniel Teo of his hopes to enjoy a season without injury in the red.

"I had my injury problems, but I'm very excited about the new season and hopefully I can play more football than I have done in recent seasons.

"I will do my best in training and hope you can see more of me on the field this season," he thought.

There has been speculation about his future at Anfield after being injured, but the imposing rear center emphasizes the pleasure of playing for Liverpool is just as strong as ever.

"It's always exciting to be a Liverpool player," Agger sang.

"It 'a club ground. If you do not feel excited, you probably do not deserve to wear my shirt!"

Despite traveling thousands of miles from Merseyside to China and now in Malaysia, insists Agger see the happiness on the faces of fans made the trip worth it.

"I was in Asia a couple of times and it's great to be here again, especially when so many happy faces.

"The help we have in this part of the world is absolutely huge. I was really surprised a lot of fans at the airport when we arrived at six in the morning."

Asked if the Reds have what it takes to challenge for the Barclays Premier League next season as, Agger has admitted it would be difficult but not impossible.

He added: "Every year, early in the season we go to every game and try to win.

"It 'clear that it did not happen then we must try to win as many games as possible and see how long it takes."

Liverpool have come to Malaysia for the second part of their Asian tour and will face an uncomfortable XI July 16 at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
