Claim Valencia Mata wants to stay

Valencia technical secretary Bralui Vazquez, says Juan Mata wants to stay on the Spanish side.

Mata, who won the World Cup with Spain and European champion with less than 21 years the country side earlier this summer, has been linked with moves to Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City and Arsenal, the Gunners would be close to seal an agreement to continue this week.

But Valencia say they do not want to sell, and they say that the player is happy at the Mestalla.

"I hope he will stay with Valencia, and I think it will. We have received no offer for him so far," Vazquez told the sports daily regional SuperDeporte.

"But we have a backup plan in case it goes away. It is not only true for Juan, however. We have a plan for each player. We must be prepared if something happens."

Vazquez says Mata was relaxed amid the speculation.

"Juan is very calm and not get carried away. Of course, the rumors do not go unnoticed, but there is absolutely no doubt about his involvement in Valencia, "he said.
